Visit each agency’s website for a more detailed description of their services.  Many have workshops you can attend.  Please try contacting the legal and non-legal agencies below for assistance first.
Keep a detailed record of:
1.    The agency’s name
2.    Whom you spoke with at the agency
3.    Date you called the agency
4.    Result of the conversation, ie. can they agency assist you and if not why

If/once you are not able to get assistance from the agencies below, contact TLC and we will attempt to find you assistance.

Provides in-person and over the phone consultations and represents low and moderate-income residents re. housing discrimination, foreclosure, predatory lending homeownership and tenants living in foreclosed properties et cetera.

Provides free legal help for low-income residents in the following areas:

CHDC offers a wide spectrum of programs to help households with low incomes strengthen their financial health.  CHDC is a HUD approved housing counseling agency and a member of NeighborWorks America.
Education and Counseling for Homeowners
Foreclosure Prevention and Loan Modification
If you are concerned about problems with your home loan CHDC can help you understand and exercise your options to preserve your home. As a HUD approved housing counseling agency they provide unbiased information and counseling at no charge to you.

Counseling Services are tailored to meet the individual needs of a family. The following types or areas of free counseling are available:
Mortgage Default Relief Measures, tenant and landlord rights, referrals to community resources, housing, homeless referrals, money management, home purchase procedures, housing selection, home management, property care & maintenance.
